Nail art for me started off as a hobby or a pastime. I think I got the inspiration to get to it after watching a couple of nail art tutorial videos promoted thru Facebook. Initially, I wanted to try my hand on the “complicated” and artsy nail art techniques like water marbling but eventually decided it’s not for me. Instead, I just got content with nail stamping and bought a number of nail stamping plates from eBay thru auctions!
I think for the past six months that I am doing (or attempting to) stamp my nails, I accumulated about 4-5 nail stamping plates as a result of me watching closely on eBay auctions. Each nail plate comes with a thin plastic packaging but since I only have a big cosmetic bag that I use to store my nail polish stash, I decided to go again to eBay and find a cheap nail stamping plate case. My cosmetic bag is the only place where I store nail polish bottles, nail cutter, and the likes. And some of those are quite bulky and made from metal, it can easily come in contact with the plates! I don’t want to scratch the surface of the stamping plates especially the Born Pretty plates so I thought to buy a case to help me achieve that. Of course, this is another auction win and I only paid for $1.39 for this 20-slot round stamping plate case. It comes with free shipping and took about 2-3 weeks to arrive. Not bad. And since I was not in a hurry, it doesn’t make sense for me to pay extra to expedite shipping, too.
The size of the case fits all my existing stamping plates easily. It looks a bit flimsy but I think it will do a decent job to protect my stamping plates for long since I don’t bring it anywhere outside our home anyway.
To use the case, I simply need to remove the individual plastic packaging of the plates and slip it inside the individual transparent slots. I didn’t find any issues inserting the plates so I was relieved. Doing this actually reminded me of old, traditional photo albums I see around the house. Probably that’s where the concept came from to make something like these but for stamping plates?
Overall, I am quite pleased with the purchase. This is an unbranded nail stamping plate case and I would’ve preferred to buy the Born Pretty stamping plate case but I would have to pay more than $2 – which I think is not worth for an item like this. For me, the basic function of the case was to have a decent storage for the stamping plates to avoid getting scratched and to be honest, this unbranded option seems to do just fine for me!

Anything to do with my finger nails has always been a struggle. as much as i like having my nails looking good all the time i am more comfortable with my natural nails. i would rather take the time an try to grow them other than put acrylics or gel nails i feel very uncomfortable.
I think I get what you mean about that "sensation" after applying nail polish. Sometimes it feels weird but I guess over time, I outgrew it and just got used to it. I used to have mine au naturale as well but I was trying to find something different to do that's why I resorted to this :)
