Nail stamping is one of those nail art ideas that I have been constantly fascinated with. I am actually surprised to see a lot of different kinds of nail stampers out there in the market these days and the prices really vary! There are the small rounded cushion, the rectangular squishy ones, transparent, multi-colored – the list goes on! If I think about it, it must’ve been the never ending video tutorials of nail stamping advertised through Facebook that got me into starting doing nail art for myself.

Since I am just starting with nail stamping (and nail art in general), I didn’t want to buy expensive tools yet. So for this, I either go to Born Pretty store or eBay (for auctions) to get the best deal for small items like this. For this stamper, I bought this from an eBay auction from a Chinese eBay seller. It took a month before it arrived here but since I didn’t pay for posting and only paid for a few cents for the stamper, I can’t really complain! Plus, the seller was very helpful and responds promptly to my questions so that was a huge relief for me, too. I even checked whether I spent more money paying for the stamper from the eBay seller in comparison if I bought it from BPS, but was greatly relieved I saved a dollar from the auction – whew!

The stamper arrived packed in plastic and placed in a small plastic envelope. The stamper was not broken although packing the material in such a small plastic envelope makes it really easy to lose in transit. To be honest, this is the second stamper I won thru an eBay auction because the first stamper I bought never arrived! So when I saw it arrived like that, then it makes sense to me how come it got lost and never arrived. (Note: In fairness to the eBay seller, he/she gave me a full refund after reporting that I never received the product. So even if I didn’t get the item, all ended well. 🙂 )

It was the first time for me to use a nail stamper so I didn’t  know what to expect. I was a bit taken aback to realize that the stamper is soft and squishy. I was initially planning to buy the round stamper but found the rectangular stamper has a good coverage for my entire nail so it is really a good choice when I use a big stamping plate image.

Overall, I am really happy winning this auction and thought I bought it at such a good price!
