Easy steps that help to learn a foreign language

How to facilitate and accelerate the learning of a foreign language? This is a question that many are trying to answer and offer a variety of solutions and options. However, the reality is that there are many people who have been for years learning a foreign language, but has not learned well to read, write or speak. So, the easiest ways to lean language:

The first step. Avoid learning by heart grammar. Rules are needed, who would deny? But it can be learned later, when you will begin to understand and speak a foreign language a little bit. After all we do not explain any languages rules for our kids, but they learn to speak just listening and repeating the surrounding words.

The second step. Start not from the reading rules, but from the listening of the speech. Get used your ears to the new language. Listen. Listen the live speech. You can invoke audio courses and audiobooks and radio programs and films, and everything what is available! Start with the lightest, for example, from the movie in a foreign language, where is more action and fewer words.

The third step. When you get used to the language, when you stop to fear it, look for the audio material with printed text, and then listen visually rely on the text. The announcer says the phrase, and you follow reading the text – in this way even the Chinese language will makes sense for you and become clearer. You will start memorize how the words are pronounced and written. Reading rules become not needed. Take your time, listen and read at the same time, if you need, if not immediately understand – pause the audio, repeat and repeat. Try to remember what you hear and what you read.

The fourth step. You already know how the words are written, how are pronounced, and little by little you start to repeat after speaker. Try to more accurately replicate the intonation and pronunciation. Say something what you heared, something what you have read from a printed text. Then slowly start to read aloud. Try to be accurate, it is an efficient workout that will help you to speak clearly and correctly. More strenuous workout will provide an opportunity to talk with almost no accent.

The fifth step, the last step. Then, when repeat after the announcer will become easy and simple, start talking without thinking about grammar. Grammatical structures learned in listening and reading process, will come to your mind at the right time without any delay. Great, if you have a companion. If you do not have anyone to talk to, talk with yourself: for example, tell what you are doing now. Invent situations, describe them, talk to fictional characters, ask questions and respond to them yourself. And all of this out loud! This helps! And not be afraid to make fun of yourself.

Traditionally, it is believed that learning a foreign language the most important thing is the luggage of the words. But for the everyday communication is enough very few words. Language – a living organism. You can learn it all life long improving pronunciation, reading and spelling.

    • Good tips. I always try to imitate the accents when I learn a new language and I think the best method is to listen and repeat and learn that way. Grammar is important too but it can be overwhelming and discouraging to learn.
