down loading videos or songs for a flight

I am going to Florida this week what I like to know is there a way to down load a video on my net book so when I am on airplane mode I can watch it
since the fight is only two hours . Yes I know I can write some of my post then post later on my writing sites but some times I like to watch some thing to and my net book does not have a cd Rom in it. I know some dvd have a code that people can watch on line but I think you have to be on the internet to watch them if I could down load something like this and see if I can watch off line on net book then that some thing maybe I can do but I am not sure what do you think. when I fly net book and phone have to be in airplane mode the wi-fi on the plane cost to much I know some offer internet service and a lot of them do not but the fees do cost to much . I am sure sure about writing my post on the plane I am not sure how the ride going to be even most of the time the plane rides are better then a car why no pot holes that why I do enjoy flying .
So I think a little later I am going to check the dvd and ask some friends because I have to down load some thing on my net book I am not taking my lap top but net book is no problem I hope. Last time I took a plane I was kind of bored because I all ready read the news paper I had and nothing to watch or a radio to listen to yes I know I need to down load songs to do that to.Ok have fun today
