I don’t want a man like my father

Don’t bash me and call me an un-grateful child. I respect them but I’m still thankful because they give me the image of how I don’t want my family to be. They gave me the best they could and this is why I thank them and love them to the depth of my heart.

But when analyzing the relationship established between them I notice many irregularities: I don’t want a man who when he comes home from work expects me to prepare his meal. I work just as much as him and this is why I think it’s normal for us to share this responsibility too. my father would even wake my mother up so that she would put him something to eat. I think that’s childish behavior.

Also I don’t think it’s normal for the woman to do all the cleaning around the house as long as she has a full time job. Like I mentioned I work just as much as a man would and I think that if he loves me he would understand that and offer to help me.

many men were raised by frustrated women with the idea that it’s a woman’s job to do all the cleaning and cooking and taking care of the kids.

in the conditions in which a woman has a 9 to 5 job, two kids and a man to keep fed and a house to keep clean she must be a super-human in order to be able to do all of that.

times have changed and I feel that our mentality should also change.

I’m curious to hear your opinions on this matter.

I promised myself that if God would ever give me a boy I will teach him to respect and treasure his wife. this is why he will definitely help her when she’s in need.
