Discovering South Africa is every Traveller’s dream

The 5 star experience in South Africa  is within reach of anyone who spends a little time drawing up an itinerary that includes cities that have unique features – cities such as Cape Town, Hermanus, Durban, the Wine lands region and the Kruger National Park to name a few. One should be able to cover most of these cities within 3 weeks and this should be easy with low cost airlines operating throughout the country. The good roads could further help if one wishes to rent a car.

CAPE TOWN, having endowed with its natural beauty and a highlight of South Africa is one of the most sought after cities in the world. One cannot miss the stunning views from the top of the TABLE MOUNTAIN that is in the heart of the city. The city has what is called the CENTURY CITY that no tourist will want to miss. The RATANGA JUNCTION THEME PARK and CANAL WALK shopping center are the main highlights. The Ratanga Junction is an epitome of entertainment especially for kids with merry go round, giant wheels and such other activities that can engage a child for hours. The Canal Walk is a shopper’s delight with over 400 shops each with goods that would attract any visitor both home and abroad.

The world famous V&A WATER FRONT situated between Robin Island and Table Mountain in Cape town has everything a tourist would dream of. With exciting shopping, entertainment, good hotels, and even apartments for those who would want to rent them out not many tourists would return without having spent time here.

East of Cape Town are the WINELANDS and as the name suggests a ritual of wine tasting is conducted and every tourist enjoys this experience.
Winelands is steeped in culture and some time spent here will give one, on-the-spot experience of various cultures that are followed. One could rent a car in Cape Town and spend atleast a day here. There are excellent hotels that one could choose from.

If sight seeing is what one looks forward to what better way than taking the GARDEN ROUTE –
a stretch of 200 km from Mossel Bay to Storms River. But to get to Mossel Bay from Cape Town the journey is nearly doubled. No regrets really as en route one can visit the WineLands and spend some time in Hermanus a place where one gets an opportunity to watch whales. A slight detour here and there one could visit other towns close by each offering some unique features.

Wild Life is synonymous with South Africa and who would not have heard about the KRUGER NATIONAL PARK of South Africa – the largest game reserve in South Africa and one of the world’s biggest wildlife sanctuaries. A quick contact with organizers here would help one chalk out an interesting programme. A night out would complete the experience – spending time with these fearless, freely roaming animals, ofcourse sitting safely in a vehicle!!

South Africa is full of beaches but for a grand SWIMMING and SURFING experience DURBAN is waiting and ready with well-appointed beaches with all amenities provided. The surfers would have no fear as these beaches are well protected and one can see lifeguards watching like hawks.

Doing all the above will undoubtedly guarantee a tourist the 5 star experience in South Africa.

    • I have heard a lot about South Africa and you post further increased my interest. It is for sure my next travel destination.

    • Africa is not in my bucket list because I am afraid of those wild animals they show in those discovery channels.

Certainly, I would like to be near a place where there are wild animals specially during evenings.

Though, I would also like to see those other animals that are not in any of the zoos here in the Philippines.

I have seen a show where they ride a closed van and a tiger went into the van's roof. Oh, that surely will give me a real scare. I am a very nervous person that's why this kind of adventure is not for me.

I would just be contented in seeing these animals at the internet. :)

      • You do not have to opt for those safari rides at all. Not all have a fascination for wildlife and you could be one of them.
