Different facts regarding Custom ROMs for android

Custom ROMs are upgraded or re developed android system by different developers for different phones to increase customizations options and features. We have already talked about custom ROMs in details with my previous article. You can read it for more information. There are many other things related to custom ROMs which I have still not cleared it. So with this article we will know different facts regarding custom ROMs available for android.

Different custom ROMs for different phones

Well, this is the first and main fact about the custom ROMs. Each phone has different system partitions and different processor and other things. So for each phone there will be different custom ROM separately. You can take any custom ROM which is made for different mobile version and you just install it in your phone. Don’t even dare to try it out otherwise your phone may get permanently dead. So make sure that particular custom ROM is specially made for your phone otherwise your phone will be bricked.

Is custom ROM available for all phones?

Well, I will not say it is available for all ROMs. If some developers have made any custom ROM for your mobile then and then only you will able to install it. As I said above you can’t use any other phone’s custom ROM on your phone. This is also depends on phone’s popularity. If you are using popular phone then it is possible that that you found more developers who are making custom ROMs for your phone. So it is like some phones are having multiple custom ROMs and some of them are having zero.

Is custom ROMs are stable in comparison of stock ROM?

I have already talked about meaning of custom ROMs and stock ROMs with my previous article. Stock ROM is the android version given by mobile company itself. It is like default android version. Now custom ROMs are developed by different developers, so it is depend on them how they made it. So it is possible that you found few custom ROMs with lots of bugs which can be solve later on. So it is possible that few custom ROMs are not that stable compare to stock ROM (which almost have no problem). I am not saying all custom ROMs are like that as few of them can be even more stable than stock one.

Can we go back to stock ROM after installing Custom ROM on our android?

Yes of course. If you have taken backup of stock ROM from recovery then you can easily revert back to stock ROM by restoring that backup. Even without that you can find out stock ROM from company site or some other source and install it step by step using some software. So yes you can always revert back to original android version which is given by your mobile company.
