DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EDUCATED AND SCHOOLED

SCHOOLED VS. EDUCATED

One of my professors once said, “Schooled is different from educated.” I had many questions when I first heard this. What on Earth is the difference between the two?

It took me some time to figure it out that schooled person is one who simply knows how to apply the things learned in school and elsewhere.

How about being educated? Does it mean you finished a high degree? Does it mean you are highly promoted in your work? Of course not! I look into a person being educated if he is respectful, he is kind, responsible and most of all, he has the heart that shows love to others even to the poor one.

We always say, I want to be educated, but our attitude is so darn unacceptable to our community. Our characters are not suitable with what we finished from school. Yes, you go to a very known school. Finished all the degree you wanted, but is that all that makes you an educated person?

When I was in high school, I hated Math but I learned to love it that is why I do not have much difficulty in dealing with the subject. I once hated a teacher that gives many requirements. After a couple of times, I asked myself why I hated this teacher, which in fact, all those requirements makes me more responsible and independent.

Love is one of the definitions I give to the word EDUCATED. Loving the hateful once gives you the positive side of it.

If you are a person who finished a degree, you even master it or you finished a doctorate, try to evaluate yourself, are you being EDUCATED OR just SCHOOLED?

If you are undergraduate, there is no way that you are not called to be educated, person. One thing to put in mind, don’t be arrogant or act boastfully.
