Did I make the right choice working at home?

I’ve been working at home online for about six years now. And there is still that little voice of doubt in my mind if I did or did not make the right choices in my life. Have I really wasted my six years of my life sitting in front of my computer? Should have I got a decent job, working from eight to five with a stable income?

I’ve been working online with different companies online, from Affiliate programs like Google’s Google Adsense to freelancing jobs like website design and development. I also tried designing logos for different companies. I love working as a freelance designer but the income is not that stable. One day I have lots of projects the other day there is no project at all.

One work online that really stands out for me is the Revenue sharing programs. Programs like this website offer. Not just because it is easier to make money but it is literally hassling free. I don’t have to worry about website maintenance and monthly subscription payment for the web address and the online data. All I’m worrying now is what story am I going to write, that’s it. Revenue sharing program is one of the best-paying programs on the internet today. I joined once in a similar site called bubblews and I really struck gold there. I can make as much as $75 a day just by publishing my own article. Too bad that website was shot down because of some greedy people who cheated and syphon the website’s funds.

So I only work on two revenue sharing website one is literacybase and the other one is Niume. I am hoping in two months time I will be earning fifty dollars a day. That is my main goal.

I am earning about $10 dollars a day I really hope I can bump it up in two months time. The question still remains did a really make the right choices in my life?

    • It seems promising to work online at home. I would say, yes. I had been working at home for more than 3 years now. I do online teaching and it pays compared to regular jobs in my city. I wouldn't say like in seventh heaven but it is rewarding. I had worked with so many companies and even tried in the government agency. But still, my salary is not enough.Through online teaching, I can able to provide the basic needs of the family and can save some money in my bank account. The writing stunts are just my extra source of cash and sleep in my PayPal account. The year of the Rooster is the best year to earn for more.

      • @Shavkat, wish you can earn more via online in the Rooster year! I am celebrating my Rooster year now, started from 28th Jan , the first day, it will be last for 2 weeks.
Just wondering that how can earn via online teaching, could you share more on this? As most of us online for earning more.
I plan to let my extra little penny stay in my PayPal account too as for a extra saving. This also due to my local currency is depreciating a lot against USD while the latter is appreciating...and, should be appreciate more in the future. Thus, no points to take out the money now if not needed.
@Seth, Other than LB and Niume, I work on some PTC sites as well which can bring some little money. If you are staying in the USA or the preferred countries, maybe you can give a try to enhance your income base. I just tried earn here and there, a little bit each.
Beside this, I take up some online surveys too.

        • Actually,if you are happy working from home, then you made the right decision. Though, as you said having these online jobs doesn't give you a steady income, then maybe you can go to other online earning site to augment your online income from other sites.

What do you do at Niume? Is its concept the same as here? What about the pay?

I too earned a lot at Bubblews too when it was still doing well. It's so sad though that it went down the drain because of spammers so greedy for money.

    • Anything I work upon Online is an extra money for me. I work for pleasure. There is an inherent desire and flair to write. I am a freelancer I am a devoted content writer for many magazines and papers. I earn a good income. I am planning to take up Physics classes online. This may fetch me sufficiently a good amount undoubtedly. There is a lot of demand for the subject. I am arranging the necessary tools for online teaching. The tools needed are 1 white Board, 2. A good microphone. It is in the selection of microphone I am held up disastrously. I am searching for a good one which is suitable for the room. Again I have to decorate the room and give it a good ambiance. Once it is done, I will pick up any topic on the subject.
I heard about the revenue sharing. But, do not have any idea about it. Can anybody tell me about Revenue sharing please?

    • I do not regret my decision to work from home. But it was not an intentional decision. I was just unsuccessful at finding employment outside the home. Even temp employment was hard to find. But now that I've made the decision, each day I just keep telling myself “Patience pays!” Every day is a new opportunity to make some money! :)

    • Your choices leads you up to where you are right now. I think those little doubts would always be there because you're human. We all doubt our choices and the outcome of it. It's how we are built.

Working at home definitely has its ups and downs just like working a regular job does. I'm sure if you're working a regular job right now, in the back of your head you'd be thinking if you made the right decision to do so and not work from home completely. See, doubts are a part of being human. Just continue on living your life and making decisions as opportunities go your way. It's your choice to take the opportunity or to pass it up for something else. That's just how life goes.

      Good luck.
