Cupcake Wars is a show on Food Network in the United States. It focuses on teams of two people trying to win the opportunity to have their cupcakes and displays exhibited at a special event and to do this they must win the cupcake war. It starts out with four teams but ends with two going up against each other in the final challenge! Each team is made up of professional bakers from around the country and in addition to showing of their work at the special event, the winning team also gets $10,000. Every time I see this show, I want to eat some of their gourmet cupcakes!
The competition starts out with four teams but is quickly shaved down to three by the ingredient round.
Each team has to make a cupcake which contains a certain ingredient. That cupcake had better taste wonderful because the judges are tough. The one with the worst cupcake is quickly sent home. The remaining three teams then must each come up with three cupcakes that not only taste great but also look great.
The catch is – the look must match the theme of the special event. Some past special events from Cupcake wars have been: Country Music Awards, Annie The Musical, Match.com, and The Breeder’s Cup. Most of the time all of the cupcakes end up looking beautiful and tasting at least decent, so its a hard choice for the judges. Occasionally though, someone really messes up and a disaster occurs…recently I saw one cupcake that was so under cooked in the middle that it was melting on the plate. This round brings the contestants down to two.
These final two contestants battle it out in Cupcake Wars final round. Each is given 4 assistants and a carpenter to build their cupcake holder (a huge stand to hold 1,000 cupcakes). I’ve yet to see a design I would call a failure The pressure is on to make everything perfect in a short amount of time. In the end, the judges once again have the difficult task of judging great cupcakes and creative designs. The winner is then declared! Viewers get a glimpse of the winner showing off their cupcakes at the special event at the end of the show. Cupcake Wars has to be my favorite show on TV and is very entertaining!

oh really? I have not seen such program in our country.
We do have kids cooking show, poor kids, fighting with each other in order to win.
They cried when they lost, they were worried when the panel judge were considering, sigh!
