Chocolates are my first love.
My fridge is always loaded with chocolates, either bought my me or gifted to me. My connections know how obsessed I am when it comes to chocolates and they always give them to me as gifts. When I was working my boss knew that too and whenever he returned from his tour visiting our parent office in Switzerland he would come back with my favorite white Lindt chocolate.
Needless to say whenever I went on foreign holidays most of my luggage was chocolates – I have been to Italy, Belgium Switzerland, US, Canada…………….And do you know every country makes chocolates not just Switzerland and they all have their unique taste. I quite liked the Belgium chocolates. At the time I had visited Brussels the Euro Coin was just out and there were chocolates in the shape of the Euro Coin. I bought them.
I also have a weakness for foiled chocolate liquor bottles!! My niece brought them for me from Australia.
Making chocolates at home is quite easy. there are several recipes. I like those that use cocoa powder and not cooking chocolate. I have tried making them but need to improve on them to get that shine. Probably that shine is because they use cocoa butter which is not available where I live. I tried to get it online but so far have not succeeded. I have not given up. I have a challenge to make chocolates that have a shine.
Have to now get to like dark chocolate as everyone is singing their praises. Their health benefits are severa
Apart from dark chocolate being nutritious
they are a source of antioxidants.
It is claimed that dark chocolates improve blood flow and therefore lower blood pressure.
Those with high bad cholesterol levels are advised consuming dark chocolates as they increase the good hdl cholesterol and reduces the bad ldl cholesterol.
Those with a love for dark chocolates should consider themselves lucky as not everything is tasty and healthy at the same time.
