India and Pakistan cricket matches are always great and hardly fought matches of cricket as both countries are very fond of this great game and it’s like a religion in both countries.

India toured Pakistan in 2006 to play a Test series and 5 match one day International series and this was one of the greatest series of all time and In that series India got many players which are now either retired after being legends of the game or they are still playing and now superstars of cricketing world. In the first match which was played on Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar, Pakistan on the 6^th Feb, 2006.

India started the innings with the most destructive pair in World Cricket Sachin tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. But India started very badly as India lost crucial Wicket of Virender Sehwag on team score of only 5 on the 7^th ball of the match. Sahin Tendulkar batted very well and made 100 runs in 113 balls with 10 fours and 1 six at the strike rate of 88.50 runs in 10 balls. He was well supported by both Irfan pathan who made 65 and MS Dhoni who made 68 in 53 balls, so India posted the total of 328.

And Pakistan needs to score 329 to win this match in allotted 50 over’s.

But this match was shortened due to rain and in cricket Duckworth and lewis method is adopted to declare the winner, So the End result was Pakistan winning the match by 7 runs as they scored 311 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 47 over’s, Salman Butt became the man of the match for his knock of 101 runs in 111 balls.

This means Pakistan go up in the series by 1-0.
