Colgate Triple Action Original Mint Review

Every one of us uses toothpaste to keep our teeth and gums healthy as part of our oral hygiene routine. It is probably one of the things we can’t live without – not unless you make your own toothpaste at home. I grew up knowing Colgate as a brand to trust when it comes to dental care so until now; I keep on using most of their products to care for my teeth.

Despite having cheaper brand options in the grocery, I still buy Colgate products regularly. I am not really after a particular “product feature” when it comes to oral hygiene so I tend to buy the basic product from Colgate. I don’t bother buying something for sensitive teeth or those that comes with whitening agents. Of course, seeing the more expensive products from Colgate on sale is a welcome treat for me but on a regular basis, I tend to buy the Colgate Triple Action Original Mint.

I like this product simply because it does what it’s supposed to do – clean my teeth and gums! I never encountered any problems using this and love the minty fresh aftertaste it leaves my mouth. I only needed to use a pea-sized portion and squeeze it on my toothbrush to use. That is enough to make really nice “suds” to clean my teeth and tongue. I never experienced tasting anything weird or unpleasant when using it. I can live without mouthwash and my mouth feel fresh even if I just use the toothpaste by itself.

Overall, I am really happy with this product and have been using it for a long time. I never felt that I need to use more and a 100ml tube lasts for months! I think it does its job well as my dentist never questioned the product I use to brush my teeth anyways!

I had tried Darlie, Colgate, Sensodym and found out that I had to use different toothpaste for different time.

For example, in the morning, use Colgate or Darlie to brush teeth, then can go ahead have breakfast.

At night, use Sensodyn because after brushing, you cannot eat or drink anymore.
The toothpaste ingredients are absorbing into the gums to prevent gum swelling and bleeding.
So, best use at night when ready to bed.

Colgate mint is refreshing and cool.
      I like the flavor.

      • Oh I think I haven't used Darlie (or seen it here) before. Yeah, that's one thing I don't like about brushing - not being able to eat because it leaves the mouth tasting minty. I try to brush every meal and make sure I don't eat anything at least an hour after I do. That helps a lot actually.

    • Among all the branded toothpaste available, I like Colgate. Why? Because it bubbles and flourishes the teeth after.

      • Yeah, they have a really pleasant after taste. I have tried other brands for toothpaste but it's not the same. It might've been because we are using it for a long time now and buy it out of habit.

    • @cessy08 I used to use Thermoseal to avoid sensitivity and now my dentist has recommended colgate pro which is great. I can eat anything and do not get toothache.

      • Is Colgate Pro cheaper than Thermoseal? I found "especially made toothpastes" cost a lot more than the ones readily available in the groceries.

    • @cessy08 I grew up with Colgate too. I find that even now, it is often the least expensive toothpaste at the store. I will stock up when it goes on special. I just buy the original formula for my family - none of the newer, fancier formulations.

      • Same here! I never really bothered with the beads, whitening etc but love to try if it's on sale. It is good nobody in our household ever needs specialty toothpastes so I guess that's why we can buy anything - even the cheapest options there!
