There is no limit to what one does to get into the Christmas mood. Here are some are all of the freatures one gets to see at every nook and corner.
1. There will be new clothes planned for the entire family
2. Gifts are bought for then near and dear ones
3. Christmas greetings are sent to those living far away
4. The Christmas tree is put up
5. The house is lit up with Christmas lights
6. One sees a star at the entrance of most Christian homes
7. Churches get spruced up
8. There will be choir practice in churches to sing hymns specially dedicated to Christmas
9. There will be aroma in most Christian homes with Christmas sweet
10. Shops will be stuffed with Christmas goodies for those who want to buy them
11. The music shops will be loaded with CDs relating to the Christmas season
12. Halls will be booked for Christmas get togethers
13. Christmas Puddings will be baked or bought – a very special Christmas goody
14. Streets and bylanes will be lit up and stars seen everywhere
15. In some places there will be serenading where groups will visit houses singing Christmas carol with Santa in tow
16. The poor will get their share when philanthropists will throw parties for them
17. Christmas sweets will be delivered to friends and family
I always organise parties for the poor kids. Each time it will be a different menu and different themes. Last year it was at our place and the theme was polka dots. Everything was in polka dots including guests wearing polka dotted outfits.
This year I am planning on throwing a party for the mentally challenged at their own institute. Hope the party will be a success as I am not sure what will make them. I am taking help from those who are taking care of them to help me organise the party.

The best thing for this Christmas season is to be with the family, friends, and relatives. It is the only time that they will stay together on Christmas Eve. The food, gifts, and Christmas decors give color to such special occasion. Life can never be the same without being with the special people. :-)
It is indeed a season for everyone to meet and have parties galore. I just had one for the mentally challenged yesterday. It went off very well.
I agree with you @shavkat. Family gathering is one of the best we can do during Christmas. It is always the wish of everyone who is working abroad to be with their families during this season.

i love christmas, i always get to either travel or do a safari or stay home with family, either way this christmas will be a special one in Kenya as it's the eve of an election year and a lot of times with elections comes with tension, stress, so much happening. so this year, i am definitely celebrating christmas with style and my favourite people.
There are so many ways Christmas can be celebrated and you seem to have choices. Go ahead andhave a blast.
Christmas for me is family time. I enjoy everyone participating in cooking, laughing and sharing stories. It magnifies the love.
