Chicken Pox Symptoms and Treatments

Everyone will experience chicken pox in his lifetime regardless of age.

Some people get chicken pox at early age while others had it during middle age.

The worst experience is having it during golden age years because the immune system had decreased and it is very painful to endure.

My family

When I was pregnant with my first child who was 4 months old in my womb, I had chicken pox.

My doctor told me that I might delivered my baby with health problems if I decided to keep her. His advice was to abort the child. I decided to keep her and my decision was right.

My daughter had her chicken pox when she was a teenager while my son had it when he was 6 years old.

Having chicken pox at a tender age , he doesn’t have to suffer through the pain because it wasn’t as serious as mine when I had it in my 20s

One of the first sign of chicken pox is the pimples

  • yellow water blisters on top of the head of the pimples
  • base of the pimple and the skin around are reddened
  • delicate blisters breaks in a few hours
  • dries up into a dried crust
  • doctors make diagnosis through looking for new pimples that has blister
  • new chicken pox blisters will keep surfacing for the next 4 days

  • toddlers do not feel sick because they are active during the day

Bathe in corn starch solution

( mom taught me these steps )

  • relieve itch by soaking into a bathtub of lukewarm corn starch or baking soda for 10 minutes, 3 times a day.
  • when using corn starch or baking soda, use 1 cupful for a small tub.
  • 2 cups for a large tub
  • dry corn starch should be placed in a 4 cup container.
  • add cold water slowly while stirring until corn starch dilutes
  • this helps to prevent the corn starch lumps formation.
  • add corn starch solution to lukwarm bath water.

COnclusion

Most chicken pox disease duration is 2-3 weeks after exposure of the blisters

Quarantine the chicken pox victims ( child or adults) at home, away from those who have not had chicken pox yet

Do not share food, beverage or use the same daily needs ( beds, towels, handkerchief)

To some superstitious people , dried scabs are contagious, one can contract the chicken pox from the victims easily.

It is best to wait until the scabs had all fallen off
