Border- Gavaskar Trophy 2nd Test Match ( 1st Innings)

India won the toss in the 2^nd test match against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. India started with K L Rahul and A Mukund.

India started poorly again and lost the wicket of A Mukund who was out on Duck or Zero score on the bowling of M Stark at the team score of 11 runs in 2.5 over’s. This dismissal makes way for C Pujara to bat along with K L Rahul to provide India a Good start in this 2^nd Test Match. Even C pujara was unsuccessful and India kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the game and was only able to make 189 runs at the loss of all 10 wickets in 71.2 over’s. And top scores of K L Rahul who made 90 runs in 205 balls with 9 fours and strike rate of 44 runs in 100 balls faced and only K Nair was the only one with 26 runs in 39 balls with 3 fours.

For Australia Nathan L was the Pick of bowlers who picked 8 wickets by only conceding 50 runs in his 22.2 over’s and other 2 wickets were shared by his fellow spinner S O Kefee and pace bowler M Stark. By dismissing India at such a low score, Australia now has opportunity to win this match and even series as well.

Writers Analysis:  India started and batted very poorly and that has put India in a very difficult situation in the game now, If Aussies be able to score a good score in their 1^st innings then it may be a another lose for India and will lose the chance to win this series as well. India needs to bowl very well and should try to bowl Australia out on a lesser score. Indian spinners R Ashwin and R Jadeja needs to chip in this time to give India any chance and pace bowlers I Sharma and U Yadav should also try to bowl in good areas and try to stop the flow of runs from other end.
