Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe in 7th ODI played in 2009

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International series in Bangladesh in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 1 and 3. The 7th ONE DAY international match was to be played on Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Zimbabwe did not batted well and was able to post total of only 119 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 9 wickets and with top scores of S Williams who made 38 runs in 46 balls with 5 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 83 runs in 100 balls and Keith D who made 21 runs in 42 balls with 2 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 50 runs in 100 balls.

Bangladesh was needed to score 120 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Bangladesh batted well and was able to chase the target of 120 runs in 32.3 over’s at the loss of 4 wicket and won the game by 6 wickets in hand and with top contributions from T Iqbal who made 34 runs in 49 balls with 5 4’s and 0 sixes at the strike rate of 69 runs in 100 balls.

Bangladesh won the match by 6 wickets in hand and series ends at 6-1 in favor of Bangladesh.
