Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe in 3rd ODI played in 2009

Zimbabwe was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International series in Bangladesh in 2009. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 1 and 3. The 3rd ONE DAY international match was to be played on Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Bangladesh holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

Bangladesh batted well and was able to post total of 240 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with top scores of M Ashraful who made 70 runs in 50 balls with 5 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 140 runs in 100 balls and M Rahim who made 30 runs in 30 balls with 1 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe was needed to score 241 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Zimbabwe batted well but was unable to chase the target of 241 runs and was only able to make 230 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 9 wicket and lost the game by 10 runs and with top contributions from Keith D who made 60 runs in 50 balls with 4 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 120 runs in 100 balls.

Bangladesh won the match by 10 runs and series stands at 2-1 in favor of Bangladesh with 4 more games to play.
