Bangladesh beat Ireland in 5th T 20 in Series

Bangladesh was scheduled to play a 7 Match T 20 International series in Ireland in 2010. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 4 and 8. The 5th T 20 international match was to be played on Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast, Ireland on 5th Aug 2010. Bangladesh holds the upper hand as they are more balanced team and playing very well as well.

Bangladesh batted well and was able to post total of 181 runs in 20 over’s at the loss of 6 wickets and with top scores of M rahim who made 70 runs in 50 balls with 5 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 140 runs in 100 balls and M Riad who made 30 runs in 10 balls with 2 4’s and 3 six at the strike rate of 300 runs in 100 balls.

Ireland was needed to score 181 runs in 20 over’s to win this match.

Ireland batted well but was unable to chase the target of 181 runs and was able to make only 172 runs in 20 over’s at the loss of 9 wicket and lost the game by 9 runs and with top contributions from Alex C who made 40 runs in 20 balls with 1 4’s and 3 sixes at the strike rate of 200 runs in 100 balls.

Bangladesh won the match by 9 runs and series ends at 3-2 in favor of Ireland.
