The Americans , as well as Asians are in favor of Baked Orange Chicken
Wings, one of the best chicken wings that is much healthier than deep fried
chicken wings.
This recipe takes less than 10 minutes to prepare, excluding the marination
time.
The result is moist, sweet aromatic chicken with full of flavor.
Baking helps to prevent the chicken flesh from becoming dry.
Baking helps to ensure the sauces marinate in the chicken wings are infused
into the flesh.
Baking is perfect for browning and creating delicious, crispy skin, crust on
chicken wings.
Reduce the fats by brushing melted butter, non salty instead of oil.
Bake chicken wings at high temperature in the initial state in order to lock in
the natural juices and sauces.
· 12 chicken wings
Marinate
· 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
· 1 tbsp tamarin soy sauce
· 1 tbsp oyster sauce
· 1 tbsp tomato ketcup
· 2 tbsp mirin ( cooking purpose sake)
· juice of 1 squeezed orange juice
· black pepper
1. Remove any feathers from the chicken wings.
2. In a big bowl, pour in all the sauces into the chicken wings.
3. Mix them well, ensure that all the wings are well coated.
4. Leave the chicken wings marinate overnight in the fridge.
5. Alternatively, you can marinate in the fridge for 30m minutes.
6. Before baking, brush with melted butter.
7. Place a baking foil on the baking tray.
8. Lightly grease with butter.
9. Place the chicken wings on the foil, leave some space in between the
wings.
10. Bake for 30 minutes.
11. At alternate time, turn over the chicken wings to ensure both sides
are well crisp and baked.
12. Chicken wings should turn out golden, crispy skin, a little charred
is alright.
13. Garnish with slices of cucumber around the plate.
14. Arrange the baked orange wings in the centre.
Note
Tamarin is a dark Japanese soy sauce
( available in all supermarket under the Japanese department )
They are almost like the local dark soy sauce but not as salty.

· you can use chicken breast, chicken keel for this recipe if you prefer
leaner meats.

· The color of the chicken wings should be white yellowish.
· If you find the chicken wings with blue black on the side of the wings,
that is the sign of overnight or a few days chicken wings on display.
· The flesh should be firm, not softie.
· Smell the chicken wings, it should smell fresh chicken.
· Avoid stale, foul odor wings.
· Make sure the wings do not have left over feathers.
That shows the chicken wings are not cleaned properly.

It is important to first determine the freshness of the meat. Smelling is the right way to do it. From the ingredients that you have used it should taste good. I like the colour that it has probably the orange juice did the trick.

I like most recipes for chicken wings. But I usually substitute boneless skinless chicken thigh meat, cut in chunks. In the store, chicken wings costs just as much as the chicken thighs. The thigh meat is my favorite part of the chicken.
This sounds very tasty. I've had something like it before but without the soy or oyster sauce. I think those things added will make it taste even better.
