There are tons of wonderful advance technology, fast food but experiencing stress is one of the “thing” that everyone has to overcome one way or another.
Sometimes, when a person has developed stress eating unconditionally, it is difficult to break the habit overnight.
here are some tips how you can avoid stress eating gradually.
When you head to the refrigerator or the kitchen, you would grab the first food that you see ( which happens to be one of your favorites).
If it is a bag of potato chips, do not take out the whole bag.
You are likely (almost 100%) devour the whole bag for sure.
Instead, get a small bowl, pour out the chips until 1/2 of the bowl.
If you see a tub of ice-cream, don’t take out the whole tub and a spoon.
Instead, serve yourself a small bowl of ice-cream with toasted nuts or slices of fruits.
Try modify your eating habits.
Hide those unhealthy snacks in the higher shelves so that you can’t reach it.
Buy assorted nuts, dried fruits ( raisins, mangoes,cranberries), non-sugar cereal in convenient small box packaging.
Put a handful of nuts, mix with dried fruits and cereal into a bowl.
Keep your hands busy with cracking ground peanuts, pistachios to slow down your eating speed.
Divert your thoughts from food.
It is a bad habit that one would think of food once you sit down on the sofa to watch TV.
Instead, play some music with your cellphone or radio.
Occupy your hands with books, magazine or newspaper.
Once you are busy reading interesting articles, you won’t be focusing on food anymore.
Hence, you can help yourself from stop stress eating.
Implement a new rule; NO FOOD or DRINKS in the bedroom.
Once, you are strict and stick to the rule, you won’t be snacking food before bedtime.
Usually when a person is stress over work or studies, you will head straight to your bedroom immediately.
You do not want anybody to interrupt or disturb since you are in no mood of talking.
Without food in your bedroom, you won’t be able to have the chance to
indulge yourself into stress eating.
You can gradually avoid stress eating if you learn how to control your habits.
Emotional mood is irritable and beyond your control when you are in a stress.
Hence, don’t put food in your mouth, leading to obesity and over-weight problems.
