Australia Beat West Indies in 4th ODI match of Bilateral Series

Australia was scheduled to play a 5 Match One Day international series in West Indies. This series will be great as both teams are playing good cricket and its difficult to beat West Indies in their home conditions Still Australia holds the edge over West Indies. Australia already won the series.

The 4th One day International Match was scheduled to play on Warner Park, Basseterre, and St Kitts on 4th of July.

West Indies won the toss and opts to bowl first and this means Australia will bat first.

Australia batted very well and was able to post total of 282 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with the contributions of A Symonds who made 87 runs in 78 balls with 10 4’s and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 112 runs in 100 balls and D Hussey made 50 runs in 51 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes at the strike rate of 98 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies was needed to score 283 runs in 50 over’s to win the match.

West Indies batted very well and will the contributions of Skipper C Gayle who made 92 runs in 92 balls with 6 4’s and 4 sixes at the strike rate of 100 runs in 100 balls. W I was in the hunt for win but they just lost the game by 1 run and was able to score 281 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of only 6 wickets.

Aussies won the match by 1 run and A Symonds was the Man of the match.
