Australia beat Sri Lanka in 5th ODI of series,2013

Sri Lanka was scheduled to play a 5 Match ONE DAY International Series in Australia in 2013. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as both are ranked at 3 and 5. Australia batted well and was able to post total of only 247 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 5 wickets and with top scores of P Hughes who made 138 runs in 154 balls with 13 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 90 runs in 100 balls and D Hussey who made 34 runs in 39 balls with 1 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 88 runs in 100 balls.

Sri Lanka was needed to score 248 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Sri Lanka batted well but was unable to chase the target of 248 runs and was able to make only 215 runs in 48.3 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and lost the game by 32 runs and with top contributions from Angelo M who made 67 runs in 79 balls with 7 4’s and 0 sixes at the strike rate of 85 runs in 100 balls.

Australia won the match by 32 runs and draw the series 2-2.
