Australia Beat New Zealand in 2nd ODI of series, 2016

New Zealand was scheduled to play a 3 Match One Day International Series in Australia in 2016. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series. Australia started very well and was able to make total of 264 runs 50 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with top scores by Australian left hand opener David W who made 156 runs in 128 balls with 13 4’s and 4 six at the strike rate of 122 runs in 100 balls.

And Star Batsman and all rounder T Head that made 37 runs in 70 balls with 2 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 53 runs in 100 balls.

New Zealand was needed to score target of 265 runs in 50 over’s to win this game as they already lost the 1^st ODI and 2^nd ODI of this 3 Match one Day International Series.

New Zealand batted poorly and they kept losing wickets in pressure of required run rate at regular intervals of the game and was eventually bowled out for only 147 runs in 36.1 over’s and was top scored by M Guptill who made 34 runs in 40 balls with 3 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 85 runs in 100 balls.

Australia won the match by 117 runs and won the series 3-0.
