I am no good in jobs that have a repetitive action like the job I was doing this morning. Shredding cashew nuts for my favorite bread pudding I found it to be quite boring and since I had to do it I did it but with no enthusiasm. I did not have ready made cashew nut pieces and so I had to cut each cashew nut into tiny pieces. I disliked doing this and was quite miserable until my sub-conscience reminded me of my own dogma that I follow to remain happy and that is the attitude of gratitude. I had slipped from my own path and detoured.
Here I was,who could afford to buy cashew nuts and all the other ingredients to make my bread pudding while millions around the world were starved of even an ordinary meal.
I lead a comfortable life endowed with all the necessities of life. I had every reason to be in the attitude of gratitude but I went astray and these thoughts of ingratitude floated in front of me. I had to quickly control these bad thoughts and succeed I did. What I realized was that we have to keep a constant vigil on our own thoughts and see that we do not go astray.
I apologised for myself and quickly got out of that situation and enjoyed doing what I was doing.
The bread pudding is now prepared with all enthusiasm putting in a doze of gratitude which I am told when added, anything that we lay our hands on becomes a success.
Yes. My bread pudding turned out great. I am waiting for guests to arrive and it will be served with all love and a big doze of attitude of gratitude.
I only hope I will not be a subject of ingratitude ever again.
