There are many fried rice in the Asian market due to the different seasoning and paste used as according to different cultures.
One of my favorite fried rice is Fragrance Pineapple Fried Rice where you can use overnight cold white rice, mix with any type of meats and chopped fresh or canned pineapple cubes and then fill it up in a REAL pineapple shell.
Honestly, this is an unique style of having Pineapple Fried Rice where the rice absorbed into the Fresh Pineapple shell, giving a fragrance authentic smell that aroused anyone’s taste bud!
However, there are a few points that you should take note on how to cook Fragrance Pineapple Fried Rice:
Your best bet is to cook extra rice yesterday night, keep the left over rice in a tupperware, chill in the fridge over night.
Over night white cold rice gives a drier and brittle , chewy bites compare to warm rice.
Freshly cooked warm rice is not suitable for cooking fried rice of any type because it is sticky and wet. It will turn out alike rice cakes instead.
Buy a large pineapple, cut into halves, scoop out the flesh, leaving the shell or core intact , to serve as the “BOWL” to put in your cooked pineapple fried rice.
Cut the pineapple flesh into cubes, excluding the harden stems.
Canned pineapple cubes are sweetened with sucrose or sugar, would spoil the natural taste of pineapple fried rice.
Nobody add in sugar to fried rice!
Stir fry the ingredients separately.
For example;
Hotdog/chicken fillets/pork fillets/sausages- deep fry them and set aside. Do not mix with other ingredients.
Soak dried mushrooms with hot water to soften them before draining and cut them into thin slices or cubes
Shrimps- remove the shells, tails and heads.
Season with salt and pepper before stir fry with chopped garlic and onion.
Make sure the shrimps turned pinkish before adding in pineapple cubes and other ingredients.

Cool recipe indeed! We do occasionally have rice with some veggie and Pineapple curd ( we call it as Raita)
Seems like a good recipe. I like to try all types of foods. Fried rice has, always, been my favorite especially the pork type. Just looking at this picture would make anyone try this recipe. Thank you for sharing some useful tips on how to prepare it.
