Aromatherapy, how it can help?

What the wise men were our ancestors, revealing the secrets of scents, which positively affect our body, mind and soul, improve mood and give inner peace. How much wonderful scents are discovered and how much is still hidden from us, preserved for decades, reminding close people to us or long past events. Grandmother’s closet scented by lavender or leather piece soaked in cinnamon oil, old box made of cedar wood will smell until decay. For thousands years people admired the harmony of scents and cool of night illuminated by moon in order to find the light in self, to feel the peace. They meditated in a quiet natural area that would empty the mind and heal the soul. They appreciated healing properties of plants and their amazing emitted odors. This is how originated science and art as old as the world. Today it is called aromatherapy.

Aromatherapy practice, it is believed, started before 6 thousand years in Egypt. There was discovered papyrus, which described a variety of vegetable oils effects on diseases. Old civilizations residents noticed that burning some aromatic plants change the thoughts and mood, and used them during various rituals and ceremonies, burned incenses to guard against demons.

Aromatherapy is a natural treatment and prevention system, originated in the junction of Eastern and Western cultures, uniting folk medicine traditions with the latest scientific achievements. Every human being is unique, and aromatherapy is very individual treatment and prevention’s method, bringing harmony, naturalness and balance. Aroma therapy preparations and materials are widely used for bedclothes and premises flavoring, for the compresses and rubbing, for sauna, body care, meditation and cosmetics.

Massage, which uses vegetable oil, more effectively relaxes tense muscles, eliminates insomnia, helps overcome stress, provide spiritual and physical strength, and improves the functioning of many body systems. Aromatic bath is one of the simplest, but also one of the most effective ways of aromatherapy. Depending on the water temperature and the selected oils it can calm down or activate the body. Such bath removes toxins and fatigue, improves joint mobility, and helps with colds or headache.

Depending on the chosen essential oil, the therapeutic effect is achieved by changing the human mood: some aromas are soothing, others stimulate, awakens the senses and invigorating, thirds eliminate fatigue, the fourth facilitates breathing.
