Are You Traveling to America? Nope

The facts are in.   People are not visiting America.   The prices have dropped, trying to catch the eye,but few are taking advantage, preferring to go elsewhere.

This drop began as Trump stepped into the White House and put his mouth on toilet drive.

Arrivals from Europe dropped about fifteen per cent and from other parts of the world, nearly forty percent over last year.

I’m not shocked.

Imagine a millionaire from Jamaica, taking his family to Disney World.   He’s stopped by ICE and questioned.

Imagine a doctor going on a work/study at a New York Hospital, stopped and questioned?

No one wants to be stopped and questioned by police who, at the very least, embarrass, at the most, kill.

Although in some places the news is not broadcast, and some people are unaware of what is going on, there are those who are a bit more alert.

There are people who investigate.  Whether they read on the ground reports on Facebook or get phone calls from family members, or do their own investigation, the anti- attitude is boiling.   The police along with ICE, (the customs people who do the deportations) are all over the place, looking for ‘illegals’.

It isn’t just in New York City, it is all over America.  ICE; Immigraation and Customs Enforcement, lurk.  They will go to homeless shelters, they will pop around Courthouses,  they will stand at airports.

If anyone doesn’t have papers, or doesn’t have them in their hand, they are taken into custody.

Ten Thousand New positions have been created and these ‘newbies’ are anxious to win their ‘stripes’.   About twenty thousand people have been deported so far; not all are criminals or illegal aliens.   Some have Visas, some have time remaining, but if they aren’t white, they are packed up and shipped out like garbage.

The new catch phrase, is ‘Expedited removal.”

People are deported without being brought to court.

Previously, people were given a chance, and before they could be kicked out of America, they went to Court and the reasons why they should be deported had to be stated.   Not any more.   If you are found in America and don’t have your papers on you, you will be locked up and deported.

You might get a chance to display your Passport or your VISA, but in many cases, the ‘cowboys’ of ICE don’t stop to give you that chance.   They lock you up, and the next thing you are on a plane going back to where ever you came from, or are assumed to come from.

When it happened to one person, even if he was let go, even if she was not deported, to be treated like dirt is not something one needs to pay for.  One doesn’t need to buy all these clothes, that plane ticket, pay for that hotel, and be treated like dirt by hot shot ICE Police.

A car stops, over armed police leap out, surround you,  everyone sees this.   Your documents are demanded.  Maybe you left them at the hotel.  You are treated as a criminal,  put into the car, taken to the Hotel, have to show your document, have them checked re-checked, then you are released.

The mere idea that you could be treated this way, in front of your children, perhaps, or your wife is not something you want to pay for.

So why go to America?

Sure if you are 100% white and come from Europe and are Christian, maybe you’ll risk it.  But if you don’t look that white, if you aren’t Christian, why take the risk?

You can go to other places, where you will be treated with respect.

Many people, from Africa, the Caribbean,  India, the Middle East are rethinking their travel plans.

The idea of a Hindu man from Calcutta being assumed to be a Muslim from Syria and treated as a suspect in a crime, is a bit too much to take.

It is expected visits to America will continue to decline, until such time as America isn’t ‘White Again.’
