Another Great Show Is Canceled

There are television serials that start and the viewer might shut it off after or during the first episode.

There are other television programs which kind of get you for a season, before you get fed up and stop watching.

Then there are television serials which captivate.  You want to watch them.  You may do a ‘marathon’ on line because you enjoy them so much and expect they’ll go on for at least ten seasons.

But they don’t.

They are canceled.    No good reason, no real reason, but are canceled.  Just like that.

I was captivated by Graceland.  It was a very interesting show in which various members of American Agencies were billeted in one house.

How they acted towards each other, the tasks they did, their personalities were engrossing.

I assumed that it would go on for a long time, and there would be spinoffs.

But it was cancelled.

There are reasons and I’ve glanced at them, but the show was good.  It ought have been kept.

But, after three seasons, it was gone.

Burn Notice was a great show.  It was about a ‘Burned’ Spy.   There was humour, interesting stories,  wonderful interaction between the characters, but it was cancelled.

Now Rosewood.

Rosewood is a fun show.  The lead is a Sherlock Holmes type, but he’s a pathologist. He makes his deductions scientifically and it makes sense, because he is a trained doctor and can see certain health clues.

The Lead Character has a great personality, he’s easy to love, and the show was a must watch.

Now, after two seasons, it has been canceled.

Just like that.   Canceled.

I was expecting a third season, even a forth, because it is such a good show.  But, the plug was pulled.

No doubt the stations will be loading the air waves with more Vampire/Werewolf stuff that I won’t be glancing at.

So, back to Vintage Television for me.
