A BRIEF INTRODUCTION:
AGRA, is located in the northern part of India in a state named as Uttar Pradesh. It is well known city on the banks of river Yamuna and is one of the most populated city of India.

A lavish and magnificent building made up of pure white marble that has been beautifully crafted will surely leave you spell bound. The carvings that adorn the walls truly bring put the skills of the craftsmen who worked for generations to build this beautiful piece of architecture.
It was built by a Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1963. It is a mausoleum of Shah Jahan’s favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is perfect symmetrical monument and was built in 22 years by around 20,000 workers. They ranged from laborers to masons to skilled jewelers.
The elegant domes and the fine inlay work with semi precious stones will leave you mesmerized for sure.
2).THE AGRA FORT: This was built by Akbar the great in 1565. This is one of the world heritage sites that is very vast and is completely concealed by high walled exteriors.
It gives a clear picture of the kind of forts where the Mughal emperors used to reside in. The interior is further subdivided into various parts each having a specific purpose which gives a clear image of the lavish lifestyle of the emperors.
3).FATEHPUR SIKRI: This is another world heritage site built by Mughal emperor Akbar. It is another blend of historical beauty and lavish accommodations.
THE BULAND DARWAZA is its prime attraction. The large and wide gate spark the royal feel within you. It is 175.95 ft high and 115 ft wide. It is made of high quality red stone and also displays excellent inlay works and carvings.
Fatehpur Sikri is considered as a very sacred place and it is said that any prayers rendered inside this are surely answered.
4). ITMAD-UD-DAULAH: This is also known as the baby Taj Mahal. It was built by the empress Nur Jahan for her father Jahangir. It is located on the banks a river Yamuna and the lovely garden that surrounds it makes it a must visit type of place.

5) AKBAR’S TOMB SIKANDRA: This is the lat resting place of the great Mughal Emperor AKBAR. It might sound strange but Akbar himself planned his resting place. The 99 names of their God Allah are also inscribed on the tomb.

It's nice that you posted about the other beautiful architectural masterpieces in India.
I for one only know Taj Majal as the most fantastic architectural masterpiece there. I haven't been there in India , but have known about Taj Majal in our studies in elementary and high school about the cultures and beautiful things to see in different countries.
And I know that Taj Majal was an edifice constructed as a gift of the king to her queen. Isn't that wonderful, as to the king's very sweet and loving way but also for having an architectural masterpiece done for a wife. :)
