Adopt a stray – you will never regret it
The tendency for most who want to keep pets is to only go for pedigree. This is more with a view to gaining some status and has nothing to do with having pets so that they are loved and cared for. I too belonged to this category and had several pedigree pets but wisdom dawned on me after they lived their ripe old age. I was watching these female stray dogs with none to care. I pledged that I will never more opt for pedigree but pick one from the street and care for it.
Even before I could decide on it, in walks a tiny pup straight into our compound. Our gate was open. We instantly liked her and she liked us.
As a pup it was difficult to train her
We named her Preiti. It was quite a task to train her when she was a puppy. But after a few torn curtains, broken glasses, broken mattresses, broken mugs and several other broken things around the house she is now a perfect lady.
We had to puppy proof the house and still she did all that when we were not looking.
She is so well behaved that she will only sleep where a space has been allotted to her. She will give a mild whimper if her bed is not ready.
Preiti and our pet rooster were great companions. She is also mild with the cats from the neighbourhood
Preiti trusts us as can be seen from this pose. Preiti eats well and her Vet visits her for her usual vaccines. She loves guests and welcomes them joyfully.
ADOPT A STRAY. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT

great post! Your post title had caught me straight away!
My mom used to adopt stray dogs and cats when I was young.
She loves animals and kept them after one another had passed on or ran away.
She always take pity on stray dogs, fed them and gradually they stayed
with us.
Stray dogs and cats are obedient, easier to train them and best of all FREE, you don't have to fork out money to buy them.
In addition, you don't have to buy pets food , no need to go to vets for vaccination , etc.
I had adopted stray cat. She is a mousy cat. Her skills are so good in catching rats. I also have three dogs. If I have the chance, I would have a stray dog too. Your stray dog looks so adorable and lovely.
My brother once got a dog that was roaming around near our estate and he was thinking to himself if at all we have no dog at home why don't I take this dog home and groom it as our own.So one day as he was walking around he spotted him dog again and he started to call it and made it follow him home. So slowly by slowly it walked beside him and was eventually home with him.So when we say th3 dog we were like where did you get this dog? And he said it just filled me. We let it stay but told ourselves that if the owner comes we will give it back.months want by and no one came so we groomed it up cleaned it and fed it and it became our dog.I guess it was happy to have found a loving family. And for a long time it remained there. We even gave it a name we called it vagrant until th3 day it died.
