There is a’ tug of war’ as it is called going on between a mother and son. Listening to their side of the story individually would not really settle the issue as they would probably speak up defending themselves and looking at situations in their perspective.which could be far from the real situation.
The best method would be to have them at the same table and the one arbitering would be someone who has no interests per se to take sides. And provided ofcourse both are interested in having an amicable settlement.
More often than not opinions are formed on assumptions. ASSUME as you know is to make an ASS of U and ME.
Sadly that is how most opinions are made and even innocent people ostracised as they would be accused of crimes they would have not committed.
Putting people in grooves and assuming that they would be in that groove forever is yet another blunder people commit. Over a period of time the good become bad and vice versa. It is therefore necessary that a vigil is kept to see the change that could perhaps be there and accordingly deal with them.
The expression ‘Once bitten twice shy’ is what many follow and that is what destroys a relationship. And finally
‘Judge not another but judge within and there you will find enough of sin’
Coming to any conclusion is a long drawn process. We had to learn this in a course I had attended. It was called PRODEM – Problem Analysis and Decision Making.
Every aspect of a situation needs to be looked at and certainly not based on assumptions.
To give you an example I decided to be more active here than on any other writing site. There was criticism about this site paying attention to informative Blogs and paying accordingly while there have been sites that pay for any gibberish. For me it is important that I keep my mind alert and this is a MUST. Yes.
