Alsobia Plant Features
Alsobia dianthiflora is a beautiful houseplant that features furry leaves and, in ideal conditions, interesting white flowers that look like they’ve been put in a paper shredder (but in a good way!). This African violet relative trails as it grows, making it a striking plant for hanging baskets or to grow horizontally on a surface such a mantle. Its green leaves and white flowers make Alsobia dianthiflora perfect for just about any color of pot — and it fits right in any color scheme in your home.

Alsobia Growing Instructions
Grow alsobia dianthiflora in bright light to keep the plant happiest. Like most houseplants, it prefers some protection from too much direct sun, so if you have it in a south-facing window, for example, put up a sheer curtain to help diffuse the sun’s rays.
Water Alsobia dianthiflora when the potting mix starts to feel dry. Though it’s not an especially thirsty indoor plant, it doesn’t love to be kept too dry for too long.
Because it trails from its pot, you might want to pinch the growing ends of Alsobia dianthiflora back from time to time to keep the plant busy and prevent the stems from getting too long and lanky.
