Caregivers usually have some benefit

The family caregivers usually have some financial or other material benefit from the help they provide to the sick parties, or even to the sick family members.

It is either for the costs of their hard earned pension, or something material like a house, a propriety or the living apartment.

I used to know this marriage couple who took in their aunt and lived in her housing space, she had two houses bound into one living space, until she passed out and after that, they inherited the whole country propriety.

Now, this is a nice life choice, but only for one reason. Their elderly aunt lived far into her old age alone and she was of the good health. She needed some help only in her final days.

The other couple I used to knew also took in an elderly family member, but they found themselves in the bad situation. Their relative lived on their back for decades before passing out, but not under their care. Just before he got terminally ill, he decided to change the caregivers and passed his wealth to his son.

Apparently, he chose to have his daughter for a caregiver only to pest her and her husband, which by the way was treated ( so I heard) worse than the domestic animals.

His master’s dog had better treatment.

The man’s daughter put up with all his demands, no matter how obnoxious and sadistic they seemed time to time, just to assure a future to her children- they were planning to inherit the home and some land.

Suddenly, her father chose to change his opinion saying they did lousy job and that he is sorry he ever gives them what they asked.

By the way, as I heard from my mother in law, they never ever asked for anything. It was set before happened, that daughter will take care of her father.
People are terrible.
