A month ago I found out I needed a root canal. I was beyond terrified, to say the least! Being an abuse survivor – I don’t do well having things in my mouth and I gag very easily. I also found out it would be a man doing the procedure. I was very unhappy about that. I’m lucky to have a wonderful regular dentist who went about setting up some great accommodations for me.
First of all, she made her schedule sync up so that she could be there for the procedure as well! Yay, someone to hold my hand and talk to me while the procedure was being done. She also offered me anxiety medication to help me stay calm, I’ve decided not to take it but it was nice to be offered that. I still had a lot of anxiety though and barely slept for 5 days worrying about things. I decided to make another appointment and go back to talk to her about things.
I wrote all my fears out and let her read the letter. She did a great job of calming me down and explaining what was going to happen and that I had nothing to fear from the other dentist. When I left, I felt good about things except for how long the wait until it was. Just a few days later I went to a baseball game and ended up with awful tooth pain. I ended up having to call the office and get pain medication to dull the pain.
The pain medication wasn’t good for me. I started getting addicted to it and when I tried to not take it for a day, I had horrible anxiety and panic attacks! I ended up really having a lot of problems from it and having to come off it. I also wonder if it played a part in my recent psychiatric unit admission. Today I got good news though – its been move up from Friday to Tuesday!!!

Root canal is a painful procedure.I am happy you got a nice dentist in this connection who made things simple and easy for you.
I read that homeopathy can resolve the issue very easily and we are not required have any sort of root canal.
I did not experience homeopathy in this connection but it is wonderful system and works well in many cases.
