Some Problems in Watching Some TV Shows Back to Back

When you watch certain shows, there might be an ‘overlap’ especially when they are written by the same person or kind of a piggy-back where the plots of one are used in another.

For example, Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy are written by the same person who seems to have serious problems with male/female relationships.   People, at least normal people, don’t act the way she writes them.   There’s a kind of ‘self-sabotage’  within the characters, and ‘love’ for them is virtually meaningless.

If you watch Grey’s, for example, you might think;  (No man is going to put up with that rubbish) for most people don’t gamble their feelings on someone a few inches from sociopath.

As Scandal is written by the same person, the dialogue overlaps, and the way words are used.  They people all speak the same; the same on Scandal, the same on Grey, and it’s creepy.

Everyone sabotages their relationships for very little reason.  Family means virtually nothing to them, so does marriage.   All of the characters have personalities which will have you walking across the street to avoid them.

It is not until the very latest seasons of Grey’s that there is a bit of divergence in characters and plots and language.

To avoid this, one should not watch both series at the same time.  In fact, as both are on air now, one should just pick one to watch, and leave the other in reserve, to be watched a few months after the other finishes.

Sherlock and Elementary were virtually created to be in contention.

Where one would find the portray in Sherlock spot on, the actor virtually perfect, one would find the character of Sherlock Holmes in Elementary close to repulsive.

However, as time passes, the plots and portrayals in Elementary exceed that of Sherlock, which ought have ended after the third season.

Rosewood, which is a Sherlock Holmes with a different name, different place, different profession, is rather an excellent portrayal.

The writers took Sherlock Holmes, made him a likable, happy man, who is a pathologist, but does the kind of detective work we expect from Holmes.

Ideally, had Victoria been fully broadcast and finished before the The Crown it would not be a problem.  Now one is watching the rule of Queen Victoria at the same time the early reign of Queen Elizabeth.

One can only complete a season of Victoria, take a break, then watch The Crown, for it is ridiculous to try to watch them in tandem.

The greatest enjoyment is to get a series that completed a year or so ago, and watch it, either in a Marathon or sprinkled between other shows.
