I just got done doing my tax retrun for federal and state tax, I am getting a nice tax refund but New York state again cost me money . Why I am low income so I had the$20.00 state medical plan, This is what New York state did it . They did not email me saying my insurance need to be renew so I did not know my insurance expire I found this out last April and it took a few months to get me on insurance again so my medical insurance did not reactive d until July. Why so Long New York state has one of the worst state web sites in the country .How did I find out my insurance expire sine the plan I use was with a insurance company that the state let me use they told me on their site that my insurance was gone when I went to pay for it . The few months I have not had insurance cost me around $300.us for a low income person that can of help me with clothes or other items I rally need. Ok that it with New York state . Now here what I learn by doing my taxes on line I now know I need to keep more recites like if I move , get the car register. even recites for clothes. more record of my credit card bill . I have to print that since most of my items are on line. Why? because it save time. Next year I know I will owe money because my hot dog business will making money this year. I need to find out when I rains if that day can be recorded at a loss probly not but it does not hurt to ask.This is the first time I pay to do my taxes. next year I will go use some one local so they can do the typing of the information on the computer this took me all mooring Ok that it for now.

It is incumbent upon the citizen to check each and every detail and file the same. If one is not good or conversant about the procedures and would like to avoid problems of the sort which you have faced you can approach a Chartered Account who generally charge a price which in countries like USA will cost high as far as I know. So please keep a file and folder and as and when you collect anything like bills and receipts or any loans or insurances which you would have paid or any tax rebates you are eligible and would like to claim the same. Collect the same and be ready at least three months before the filing date. If you have any new issues and clarifications which you need to sort out do check about the same in advance to avoid repeat of the problems you faced this time. It is better if countries dispensed with the cumbersome tax procedures and spare the citizens of that country the troubles on has to undergo paying taxes rather than earning income.
