West Indies Beat India in 2nd ODI of tri Series, 2013

India and Sri Lanka was scheduled to play a 7 Match One Day International Tri Series in West Indies in 2013. All teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who batted very well  will be crowned as the winner after the series as they are ranked at 2,3 and 6. The 2nd ONE DAY international match was to be played on Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, and West Indies on 30th June 2013 between West Indies and India. India holds the upper hand as they are more experienced team and playing very well as well.

West Indies won the toss and opts to bowl first; this is how West Indies team and 11 was looking like in this 2nd ONE DAY international match: Dwayne Bravo (c), Chris Gayle, Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Kieron Pollard, Kemar Roach, Darren Bravo, Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul, Johnson Charles

And Indian team and 11 was looking like this in this 2nd ONE DAY international Match: Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin,Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav

India did not bat very well and was able to post total of only 229 runs in 50 over’s at the loss of 7 wickets and with top scores of Rohit S who made 60 runs in 89 balls with 4 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 67 runs in 100 balls and S Raina who made 44 runs in 55 balls with 4 4’s and 0 six at the strike rate of 80 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies was needed to score 230 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

West Indies batted well and was able to chase the target of 230 runs in 47.4 over’s at the loss of 9 wickets and won the game by 1 wicket in hand and with top contributions from J Charles who made 97 runs in 100 balls with 8 4’s and 4 sixes at the strike rate of 97 runs in 100 balls.

West Indies won the match by 1 wicket in hand.
