Australia beat Sri Lanka in 2nd ODI of series,2011

Australia was scheduled to play a 7 Match ONE DAY International Series in Sri Lanka in 2011. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series and who will be crowned as the winner after the series. The 2ndONE DAY international match was to be played on Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Hambantota, Sri Lanka on 14th Aug 2011. Sri Lanka already won the T 20 Int. series 3-0.

Australia was needed to score 209 runs in 50 over’s to win this match.

Australia batted very well and  was able to chase the score of 209 in 38.2 over’s at the loss of 2 wickets and won the game by 8 wickets in hand and top scores by  Ricky P who made 90 runs in 106 balls with 8 4’s and 1 six at the strike rate of 85 runs in 100 balls.

Australia won the match by 8 wickets in hand and now this 7 Match ONE DAY international series stands at 2-0 in favor of Australia with 5 more games to play.
