Afghanistan Beat Zimbabwe in 3rd T 20 of series,2015-16

Zimbabwe and Afghanistan were scheduled to play a 3 Match T 20 International Series in United Arab Emirates in 2015-16. Both teams have great players and all rounder’s and match winners and it would be interesting to see them battle in this series. The 3rdT 20international match was to be played on Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on 12th Jan, 2016. Afghanistan already earlier won the 5 Match One Day International series 3-2. And leads the T 20 series as well 2-0 with 1 more game to play.

Afghanistan batted well and was able to post total of 160 runs in 20 over’s at the loss of 8 wickets and with top scores of M Shahzad who made unbeaten 60 runs in 30 balls with 10 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 200 runs in 100 balls and G Naib who made 40 runs in 20 balls with 2 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 200 runs in 100 balls.

Zimbabwe was needed to score 161 runs in 20 over’s to win this match.

Zimbabwe batted very poorly and was unable to chase the total of 161 runs and only able to make 100 runs in 19.2 over’s at the loss of 10 wickets and top scored by G Cremer who made unbeaten 60 runs in 50 balls with 5 4’s and 2 six at the strike rate of 120 runs in 100 balls.

Afghanistan won the match by 60 runs and won the series as well 3-0.

This means Afghanistan has beaten Zimbabwe in both ODI and T 20 series.
