This is a true recountation of a real situation.
After some suffering, a wife attended a particular attorney. She had enough. Her husband, with whom she had weathered the hard times, was now an international celebrity.
And;
he had become wildly unfaithful. He often claimed he wasn’t married. His current slam was all over the place, publicly claiming that her husband was her’s!
It was just too much.
The attorney listened to her painful report and when she had finished; replied;
“This year he made Five Million, next year, he’ll make Ten Million. Get as much property into your name as you can now. You can always divorce him next year.”
The wife agreed and the attorney assisted her in this endeavour. With words tossed here and there, the husband, thinking to get some tax breaks, bought property in her name. In her name alone.
The Wife acted unaware and not particular intelligent. He lived his wild life and so one year became two, became three. And then, the husband died.
He died without a will.
Besides all the property he had purchased during those three years in her name alone, she got 50% of everything that was in his name alone. Of course, everything that had been purchased in both their names was her’s.
This man had fathered twenty three children. Five with her, the rest with all sorts of other women and one with his main Slam.
The children shared 25% of what was left of his estate. That is the Estate after she took everything that was in her name alone, everything that was in both their names. The Wife got 50% of the what’s left, the children 25%.
Each child received a specific sum. The children the wife had bore for him, the one his Slam had borne and all the others got the same set amount.

Why wait for the husband to die, when during his lifetime of cheating, the woman can make means to stash money for herself and one day file for a divorce because of his cheating ways.
At least on top of her stashed money from her husband, he would be giving her alimony.
As to the children she should also see to it that she will have them for herself and that they be included in the divorce agreement as to their allowances until they are of matured age and can already be on their own.
The fact is, she'd of walked out with the clothes on her back, but the Attorney made a lot of sense. One has to realise that once a man commits adultery, that's the end. Now the wife has to consider her future. And in this case, she did.
