South Africa pegged back India

India was doing very well in the world cup of cricket 2011. But now their next game is against South Africa who was playing so well. This Match was played on Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur, India on 12th March, 2011.

India won the toss and opts to bat first, So S A will bowl first and bowling is their plus point.

This is how Indian team and 11 looks like: Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ashish Nehra, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, S Sreesanth, Piyush Chawla, Munaf Patel, Yusuf Pathan, Virat Kohli,Ravichandran Ashwin

India started very well and both Sachin tendulkar and Virender Sehwag manges to score the century partnership. But India lost its way in the middle over’s and in the death over’s and were bowled out for 296 runs in 48.4 over’s and were not able to pay the full allotted 50 over’s and wasted 8 crucial balls. For India sachin Tendulkar top scored with 111 runs in 101 balls with 8 4’s and 3 sixes at the strike rate of 110 runs in 100 balls and G gambhir batted well for his knock of 69 runs in 75 balls with 7 4’s and strike rate of 92 runs in 100 balls. Dale steyn bowled very well for S A and took 5 wickets for only 50 runs in 9.4 over’s.

South Africa chased the target of 297 very well and won the game by 3 wickets with 2 more balls to spare.

It was South African Star all rounder jac. Kallis who top scored for them and made 69 runs in 88 balls with 4 4’s at the strike rate of 78 runs in 100 balls.

Dale Steyn was the Man of the match for his great spell of fast bowling.

      • Lol, i think you also follow quite a lot cricket. You are from which country. But i would say south Africa is a very tough competitor and its difficult to beat them. They are playing the finest of cricket from.many years and recently they defeated Australia, Sri Lanka and now new zealand
