Final ODI played between Ind and Pak on 24/3/2004 (Last part)

This is the 2nd part of the one day International final played between India and Pakistan on 24th March, 2004.

Pakistan requires 294 runs to win the series but this is not going to be easy.

India will have its all hopes on its quick bowlers and in the death bowlers with spinners.

India started the bowling with L. balaji and Irfan pathan and Pakistan with Yasir Hammed and Taufiq umar. Pakistani started the chase very badly by losing their inform player and star bastman Yaseer hameed on the team score of 8 in 1.4 over’s and the Mohammed yousuf as well on the team score of 9 runs in 2.5 over’s. Then it was the turn of veteran player Younis khan who got dismissed at the team score of 25 in the 12.1 over. And then Pakistan keep losing wickets at regular intervals and they were never looking like winning the match and India just followed the formalities as well.

V V S laxman of India is the man of the match for his fine knock of century and Inza mam ul haq was the man of the series as he made the most runs by any batsman in the series and he played like a gem in the series. So India won the series 3-2 and takes the trophy. Saaurav ganguly lifts the trophy and gives it to other members of the team. It was really a great game to witness. And thank God India came out victorious.
