19 Ways To Start Loving Yourself

You are amazing!

No one else on earth like you. You are special!

Maybe this time you think “Are you kidding? I’m just a normal person. Nothing special! Just like everyone else. ”

Let us take one example, the experience of life. Your life experience to date is different from the others. Yes, there may be some similarities but, basically everyone has a very unique experience in their respective lives.

From the perspective of this course you have a different, unique and incredible!

Is not it time to start treating yourself as a special. Give yourself a little love and express your uniqueness to the whole world?

Come on! Do yourself a favor, take a deep breath, give yourself a hug and began to practice the following actions:

1. Start your day with loving yourself!

Look in the mirror and say to yourself something lovingly. “You have the most beautiful eyes!” You still feel awkward doing it? Positf try other things like “you are so creative!” Anything that can make you feel flattered and smiling!

2. Learn to love your body.

Giving intake of nourishing your body with healthy foods and beverages is a way to reward yourself. Also, indulge yourself in a warm bath, massage or spa treatment. Find a way to enjoy, like and even love your body.

3. Surround yourself with people who love and encourage you.

Learn to accept all care what they say about you. Maybe what they say is unsettling your heart, but they are the ones who are always there at your side, providing support to you. Do not be shy. Accept and acknowledge them.

4. End all toxic relationships.

Seriously, anyone who makes you feel small, helpless or does not mean not included in your life.

5. Stop trying to be someone else.

You can not be someone else because you are unique, so anything with them. Why compare when there is nothing to be compared?

6. Be a cheerleader for yourself.

Celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Be proud of yourself. Be the first to congratulate yourself, then let other people congratulating you if they want, rather than vice versa.

7. Embrace and love everything that makes you different.

You have special gifts and talents. This is what makes you special and unique. Do not be afraid to optimize them.

8. Take time each day for yourself.

Perhaps it is a quiet time when you sit down and relax or meditate. Take the time to walk around alone. Sitting on the banks of a river or lake. Enjoy your time.

9. Look for sparks from within yourself.

What excites you? Activities that make you lose track of time? Or a frightening thing you? Something you want to do, but are afraid to try. Go out and do it! Take some small steps, the next will be easier.

10. Listen to your inner critics.

If your mind criticize you by saying that you are lazy or not happy or not talented, then listen. Then, write down on paper twice: when you are lazy, unhappy or not talented. We’ve all felt these things sometimes. Next, write down two times too that you are not lazy, happy, and talented. This is a good way to let your mind know that you accept these things.

11. Be true to yourself.

Do not say yes if the means are not, and vice versa. Listen to your feelings. What he says and if you respect him? Be true to yourself is a way to reward yourself.

12. Reach out to others when faced with difficult things.

You do not have managed to get through the hard times with his own. This does not mean self-pity. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not a weakness.

13. Be thankful!

At the end of the day, giving thanks for all that you have. Gratitude is the fastest way to turn things around. It would also pave the way for things that are more beautiful entrance into your life.

14. Find ways to be creative.

Creativity is an expression of self. This can come in all forms: dance, yoga, walking, writing, painting, or playing with the kids. You have a unique way to express your beauty.

15. Forgive yourself.

All people have to do something that makes them feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. When that has been done, then it can not be changed, but that does not mean you have to take them forever. Leave it alone! It’s over!

16. Learn to accept all the feelings and moods.

You are human and things must change. This is really something that is realistic for you to be happy all the time, every day. Give yourself a short break and thank all your emotions. Emotions change over time.

17. Get out of your comfort zone.

When you try something where you are a little scared or unsure, and you succeed, then you will experience a great feeling. Trying new things will create a sense of adventure and save the life of things boring. Take some risks and see what you find in yourself.

18. Be patient and consistent.

Loving oneself is an evolving process and ongoing. This takes practice. Be kind and loving to yourself because you are an amazing creature.

19. Have fun!

Come out and have fun. Do not hold back, let yourself unique exploded and enjoy your life extraordinary.

    • I cannot think of any other point that you have left out. It is a perfect description of everything that is important to live a happy life.
      But the reality of life is real hard. Daily commitments and responsibilites leave personal care far behind. To try to practice all this one really needs to be calm, content and focussed.

    • Loving oneself is a must for each one of us.If we do, then loving others will be the next thing to do. I can't think any reasons on not loving ourselves.There are times that some people forget to love oneself because he or she was blinded loving someone so much. It should not be like this. Because it is not the right thing to do. We need to give space and love oneself without any conditions.

      We are still humans and tend to forget of loving oneself. Depression is one thing that we experience. Eventually, it will go back to normal soon after this episode. The realization will touch our minds and learn to focus to oneself again.

    • Those things are really what should be done in order to really love ourselves. When we love ourselves, we will not let other hurt us. We can even be happy just being by ourselves.

      Me, because our daughter is in a far city having her residency as a doctor in a posh hospital, and my hubby is still at work, after our dismissal from work at 6:30 in the evening, would go to the mall and go malling alone. I love that. When I get tired and hungry, I eat at a fastfood the foods I so like.

      That's one way of loving myself. And I am happy for that.

    • Well said i couldn't have said it any better. In life the very first thing we need to do is love ourselves, because that is where it all begins. We cannot begin to live other people and other things before we live ourselves. Like we all day charity begins at home, it all starts with you.
      Living oneself will open the avenues to living other things. I know there are many people who struggle with accepting who they are simply because of the movies they watch, or the magazine's that they read, or posters that they see. One thing that don't realize is that all those things are fabricated just to sell. When we are created we are created in our own unique way, there is no way your going to look exactly like someone. Whatever you have is yours so it's up to you to make it better and prettier don't ever look at yourself any less. You are still beautiful in your own way. I can say for myself that i love myself very much and no matter what anybody says, that does not bother me because I love who I am.
