Blood Sugar Buster No.3: Cinnamon, Your Blood Sugar’s Best friend

Cinnamon is a wonderful spice that gives apple pie its awesome taste . It also has a beneficial effect on your blood sugar. Cinnamon helps to slow down stomach emptying which curbs the sharp rise in blood sugar , and it improves the effectiveness or sensitivity of your  insulin . This stuff could be added to our bread or cereal depending on your preference. Cinnamon is very common in our fast foods centers, but never did people wonder about the properties that it has to consumers. I am so thankful to myself that my favorite bread is cinnamon though I am not sick with diabetes.

Our family history indicates no victims of this culprit sickness. although my father due of cancer of the large intestine. I was a fresh graduate from college that time, young and life full of freedom no feeling as to how our human body should be protected.I am so thankful this time as I grow mature , for I learn many things that relate about health. I am so happy to share you what I have researched, so at least , I can help you in case you have sickness there you hate to feel.

For me, I prefer cinnamon in bread especially if coated with many of it.I like its taste and smell. The taste and smell of cinnamon could be felt as good food. Cinnamon has active compound that makes your cells more responsive to insulin , so that more glucose is removed from your bloodstream.

These are the following facts about cinnamon: 1. Cinnamon regulates your blood sugar. 2. It is considered for protection against diabetes 3. Cinnamon gives better brain function. 4. Cinnamon is also Parkinson’s disease protection.

Try to follow the following ways to include cinnamon in your daily meals. These are the following:

You have to…

  1. season roasted or grilled  fruit with a sprinkle of cinnamon;
  1. add a dash or two of cinnamon to hot oatmeal, overnight oats, or cold whole grain cereal;
  2. stir cinnamon into almond butter, or any nut or seed butter, and use as a dip for fresh apple or pear wedges or a filling for celery;
  3. freeze cinnamon in ice cubes to add zest and aroma to water or cocktails;
  4. sprinkle cinnamon into your coffee, add it before you brew your coffee;
  5. fold cinnamon into yogurt, along with cooked, chilled quinoa fresh cut fruit, and nuts or seeds;
  6. sprinkle a little cinnamon onto popped popcorn;
  7. season roasted cauliflower, sweet potatoes, spaghetti, and butternut squash with a pinch of cinnamon ;
  8. add a pinch of cinnamon to lentil or black bean soup soup, or vegetarian chili, and
  9. stir a little cinnamon into melted  dark chocolate and drizzle over whole nuts to make spicy ‘bark’ or use as a dip or coating for fresh fruit.

Make sure not  to overdo the eating of cinnamon, if your blood sugar is high, you need to seek advice from your doctor if it is required of you to take cinnamon as your body supplement. The foods that are stated here and qualified to have cinnamon as the ingredients or topping of our favorite foods. It is so amazing what a cinnamon  can do to our body. It also increases your energy. You would surely want to see your blood down.

    • How happy I am this time for I learn so any facts and benefits of cinnamon. Frankly, before I researched about cinnamon, I really do not have idea as to how effective is this property to our body. Just imagine , this stuff is sweet yet it reduces your insulin, It is considered best freind of your blood sugar. I will tell my friend sick of diabetes to have in her mean cinnamon. She is too young to have diabetes She is 32 and collapsed last month due to high blood sugar. This time she is watchful to her foods.I hope she will believed cinnamon.

    • This day, I bought i/ 2 kilo grounded cinnamon in the mall.We need this in our body. This is very important fighter that also boosts leveling of our blood sugar though we might not have high blood sugar Recommend this to someone you know having hyper problem, blood sugar problem and all other kinds of ill feelings.

    • This is an interesting read aabout cinnamon powder. It really hadany benefits of which I did not know. I only knew that you can us cinnamon can be used to control blood sugar the rest is new to me. I don't really like it in tea because it makes me take less tea. I cannot be able to finish a whole cup of tea with cinnamon, I find it very strong. Anyway thanks for sharing th3 benefits very informative.

    • @Anitah Gimase ,Try to eat bread with cinnamon topping, yu will be surprised for you will have only few bites for you feel the foods will be thrown out from that stomach. Cinnamon is truly superior and block buster food.Yo can buy at least 1/ 4 a kilo in your favorite malls.
