DOING AN EXERCISE MAKES YOUR BODY HEALTHIER

Everyone’s goal why we do exercise is to be healthy. People exercise to be physically fit or to lose weight. For men, they exercise to make their muscles strong and bigger. For women, they sometimes do exercise to have a good body figure.

Some do sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball and other outdoor games for exercise. Some go to the gym where there are tools used to exercise.

There are also people who do exercise to enhance their mental ability. When you are mentally and physically fit, you will be full of energy, alert and cannot get sick easily. Exercises can also a good way to deal with stress.

Everyone can do exercise, children, teens and adults or the older ones.

Exercises are divided into two main types, the aerobic exercises, and anaerobic exercises. When doing aerobic exercise, it will make your lungs and heart to work harder. Your muscles in your legs and arms are fully used. An example of aerobic exercise are walking, swimming, jogging, and running.

Anaerobic exercises do not need your heart and lungs to work hard. It can only be done in a short period of time since your muscle gets tired easily. A few muscles will be needed at a time. An example of anaerobic exercise is weightlifting. This type of exercise makes your muscles bigger and stronger.

It is said that doing aerobic exercise like riding a bicycle, jogging, and running makes your heart become healthier. It will lower the risk of having a heart disease. It will also make the lungs stronger.

According to doctors, aerobic exercise should be done 20 to 30 minutes three times a week. The exercise should be done until you feel your heart beats faster than normal. You should work hard for it.

When you do exercise to lose weight, aerobic exercise is more effective. It will help the body burn calories. Regular exercise is better to maintain desired body weight.

Anaerobic exercise like using barbells or the strength-training machine will make our body stronger. It will not only make your muscles strong but the bones too. However, doing such exercise needs you to have an expert teacher or trainer to guide you before doing it to avoid injuries. It needs you to carry lift small weight barbells to heavier one as you become stronger.

There are also some exercises that make your body flexible. One of it is stretching. Stretching can be done for the neck, trunk, legs and arms. To make the body more flexible, you can do yoga or a slow exercise together with stretching exercise.

To prevent muscle injuries, it is needed to do warm-up and cool-down stretches. Before doing aerobics and anaerobic exercise, it is good to do warm-up stretching, while doing cool-down stretches when you finished exercising.
