First and foremost, I am preparing this blog for you because of the present impetigo problem of my niece’s husband. They’re both new residents in United Kingdom. I really do not have idea about this sickness impetigo. I only learned about this three months ago when my niece cried during our chat. Though that sickness is curable but the fact remains that it is a contagious disease. I immediately made a Google research about impetigo and came with its causes, effects and cures.
From my Goggle research, I have learned that impetigo is a highly contagious skin condition. This sickness usually attacks children and rarely to adults. It usually occurs in the face, neck, and hands of children and infants. Impetigo has two kinds of bacteria namely: 1. streptococcus pyogenes, and 2. staphylococcus aureus. The treatment of this depends on the kind of bacteria the patient is on. It could be cured if properly treated within three weeks.
Different Types of Impetigo:
This sickness is also called nonbullous impetigo. It is the most common type of impetigo in children; it is very contagious. It starts with red sores around the nose and mouth. It is painful and itchy that causes children to cry.
This disease usually attacks children under age 2. What appears as symptoms are blisters on the torso, arms, and legs of children. At first it appears clear then cloudy. This type of impetigo tends to last longer.. The areas around the blisters may be red and itchy.
This type is considered the most serious type of impetigo. It affects the second layer of the skin, rather than just the top layer. This type has blisters so painful and may turn into ulcers, or aggravated, open sores. Other associates may occur like swollen lymph nodes and scars.
Symptoms of impetigo:
The following are the symptoms of impetigo. These symptoms could be embarrassing if present on the face. These symptoms vary from type to type, the following are: 1. red sores that pop easily and leave a yellow crust; 2. fluid-filled blisters; 3. itchy rash; 4. skin lesions, and 4. swollen lymph nodes.
Causes of impetigo:
The following are the causes of impetigo; they occur in a few different ways such as: 1. skin-to-skin contact with an individual who has impetigo; 2. touching things an individual with impetigo has had contact with, such as towels, bedding, and toys ; 3. injury to the skin; 4. insect bites, and
Who may be contaminated with impetigo? There are certain individuals that may be contaminated with impetigo:

Its treatment depends of the severity of the symptoms and the type of bacteria the person is having. If cause is mild, the doctor might only recommend simple hygiene methods to help the skin heal and to prevent the disease from spreading. At home, maintain cleanliness in your surrounding; wash hands thouroughly with the right hand washing liquid.
If there are many scabs on the skin, you can soak this area to help remove some of the scabbing and promote healing. Affected areas can be soaked in soapy water or a 1:32 solution of vinegar and water.
If impetigo is severe, the doctor may prescribed anti biotic cream, or oral antibiotics for adults.
Prevention
Whether you are prescribed topical or oral antibiotics, it is important to finish your prescription to prevent the infection from returning. It comes back if do not follow the procedures of the medication.
Prevention of impetigo includes the following: 1. washing hands regularly; 2. bathing or showering regularly, and 3.cleaning and covering any injuries to the skin
Use the following to avoid the spread of impetigo :1. use antibacterial soap to wash hands; 2. use a clean towel or fresh paper towel to dry the body or hands; 3. wash linens and clothes in hot water; 4. clean surface areas in the home with antibacterial products; 5. keep fingernails short; 6. avoid schools and childcare centers while infection is contagious, and not to share personal hygiene items.

We need to observe cleanliness at home, at self and anywhere we go, we should always have with us rubbing alcohol, alco gel , anything that cleanses our hands before eating especially during travels.If we try to look at the impetigo,we want to say yuck, but that would really happen if we do not clean our body and be safe not to be contaminated.
It best for us to wear a ace mask and long sleeve during travel. We will never know who would be our seatmate in van, jeepney, plane and so on and so forth.
Prevention is better than cure.
I am happy today for my niece in UK messaged me and her parents that her husbands impetigo is healed just recently. That worries them most for her husband was not allowed to report to the hospital where he works as a nurse because of that sickness that is so contagions. We are afraid at home, afraid that she might be contaminated with the bacteria of impetigo. Her husband always wears long sleeve in their abode to avoid some contamination. Her husband still has something hat he cannot escape and that is his psoriasis. It was learned that her husband has family history of psoriasis. He is in the 3rc generation, so it is made dominant on him, too sad. They are both intelligent young couple but tested much by time. I hoe they can surpass all these trials in their marriage.
