It is not often that we watch movies that are either just a temporary entertainment with an average standard, or not up to the mark as per critics’ standards. Many a times, we either stop watching that movie after some time, or we do not watch it at all, after seeing reviews, or word of mouth opinions.
Yet, sometimes, due to some strange reasons, some such movies make us opt to watch them. One such movie which I watched long time back was this Bruce Willis starrer action thriller movie – The Last Man standing. This movie was made in 1996. I am not sure how well this movie did, but it does not seems as if this movie did too well.
The movie is about a mercenary gun expert John Smith, played by Bruce Willis. After a number of unspecified exploits in various places, he stumbles upon the Town of Jericho, Texas. This town has two rival gangs engaged in bloody combats that has led to a lot of the townfolks vacating the town. Now, John Smith decides to take a big risk and starts displaying his skills for both the rivals. Then follows scene after scene of gun fights, duels, blasts and mayhem. Smith does risks his life in his unique mission, which in his own eyes is an honourable one.

I recall watching this movie sometime around late 1999 on TV. I did not mind a lack of serious story telling, but somehow the action sequences excited me. Also, there was action but no sadistic or over the top violence.
The most exciting part was that in each action scene, Bruce Willis was firing from two guns, or two revolvers at once. It seemed that either he knew how to shoot or had a contract with the director to shoot with two guns!
I am interested to watch this movie at least one more time.
Perhaps then I can take a look about the movie plot and how well the movie was made in detail.
If you are crazy about Bruce Willis stuff, or bang-bang action, not minding the storyline, this is at least once a watch movie for you.

It's very odd. I'm not a Bruce Willis fan. In fact, I think he's a lousy actor. Yet I watch his movies. I like the action! :)
@cmoneyspinner even his Die Hard movies are more of action than acting, but I love the action scenes in most of his movies.
Action and although the humor is corny, it makes me laugh. Like the scene in one of the movies where he's calling the police to report the terrorists in the building and the phone operator tells him the line is only to be used for emergencies and he screams: “Do I sound like I'm ordering a pizza?” That cracked me up! LOL. :)
