The First Speech of the Founder of Pakistan

Some people are chosen as presidents by chance and some people are selected as presidents by choice but I think there is a great difference between the two persons those who are chosen by the stroke of luck are kings, queens and princes and those are chosen by choice are common men by the people keeping in mind their flawless character and personality and indomitable will power and sincerity to the nation.

Quaid e Azam was chosen by the people of Indo Pak as their first Governor General after the division of Pakistan but before the partition of Pakistan the people of the Sub Continent have conferred upon Muhammad Ali Jinnah the title of Quaid e Azam.

Muhammad Ali was declared by the people of Pakistan as their great leader and the title was given Quaid e Azam and the first Governor General in 1947. Muhammad Ali Jinnah struggled very hard to get a separate homeland for the Muslims of Pakistan so that they live in it according to Islamic laws. It is clear that Pakistan was got in the name of Islam and the Islamic Laws must be imposed on the people of Pakistan but after the death of Quaid Azam they capitals, industrialists and feudalists opposed to the implementation of Islamic Laws in Pakistan.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah has clearly told that in Pakistan will pure Islamic Laws according to Quran and besides it, all the religious sects will be free in worship according to their religious beliefs but all will act upon the constitution of Pakistan. All will be equal in the eye of laws.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s first speech is very important in this respect. After assuming his responsibilities as the first Governor General he addressed the people of Pakistan in Governor General House what he said is most important for all of us. He got Pakistan with logical arguments from the British Government and proved that there are two nations the Hindus and the Muslims in the sub Continent not one nation only Hindus.

Being a savvy statesman Jinnah demanded logically and historically Pakistan for the Muslims of the Sub-Continent His ideas were not dim as the Hindus and the British considered. Jinnah rebutted the Muslims as a minority or a sect, but a nation according to any definition of a nation. Jinnah claims that there are two nations in the Sub-Continent; a Muslim nation and a Hindu nation and there is and was nothing common between the two nations. Every independent nation should have her own country to live in freely according to her religious traditions. As the text shows:

“Muslims are not a minority as it is commonly known

or understood…Musalmans are a nation according to

any definition of a nation.”

The London Times propagates that the differences between the Muslims and the Hindus are not of religion in the strict sense of the world but also of law and culture may be called superstitions that would be vanished with the passage of time. But Jinnah rejects that idea and claims that we are entirely different from the Hindus spiritually. Politically, religiously and economically, the past history shows that they neither inter-dine nor intermarry. It is the major difference between the two nations.

That is why, the Hindus did not try to understand the real nature of Islam and misguided the British knowingly. If the British Government did not revise their notions about the Muslims in time the Hindu and the British will both go to utter destruction.

If she will act upon the pre-settled notions, the British will not be safe in the Sub Continent because everything of the Hindus and the Muslims are entirely different. It is far better for the British to divide India into two independent states. As the text shows:

“The only course open to us all is to allow the major Nations

separate homelands by dividing India into two autonomous states.”

At the end, Jinnah said that the Muslims would not accept the idea of minority of the Muslims in the Sub-Continent.  Read the past history carefully the British would find the Muslims was a complete nation that has all types of guidelines spiritually, politically and historically plus a complete religious teaching pattern world-wide. As the text shows:

“Muslim India cannot accept any constitution which must

necessarily result in a Hindu majority government.”

Those who think that the Muslims are a minority are at wrong. It is time to change their wrong ideas about the Muslims if they want peace in India. So accept the Muslims as a complete nation in all respects. According to international rules every nation must have her country to live in peacefully. So the Muslims’ demand is to divide the Sub-Continent into Muslim India and Hindu India. Let it be fulfilled peacefully. It is better for all, the Muslims, the Hindus and the British.

    • @jhsayyar.. The Quaid was really a great leader of the muslims. He worked for independence day and night, and virtually jeopardized his life.He worked very honestly and expected that others would also do so. He was against the use of public property for personal gains. We, Pakistanis are unfortunate that we lost a great leader of his calibre. Had he lived for sometime more, he would have given us a lot.
