Amazon is truly a great way to shop online. Especially for us, I realized there are a number of items sold over there that are not available in any groceries over here – or could be a little bit pricey if bought from here. That’s why a couple of months ago, despite having a cheap online coffee bean seller I regularly order from, I decided to buy our coffee beans from Amazon, too.
One of our Amazon purchase is this bag of Caffe Napoli Italian Espresso Coffee Beans. According to Amazon, it is a medium roast without the bitter aftertaste. I actually love trying out Italian coffee blends – they know good coffee after all! However, I find there are some Italian coffee blends (especially the Napolitan version), that has a stronger Robusta flavor. I find the Robusta coffee beans too acidic for my liking. However, at the time we were buying the beans from Amazon and selecting which bag to order – this was on sale. So I decided to take the risk and try it out.
We recently opened this bag and unluckily for us, it was the time our portafilter for the double shot espresso wasn’t working properly – so my husband used the single shot espresso portafilter for a couple of days. I prefer to have milk with my coffee as I am not a fan of espresso so I drink mine as a latte.
When I had a single shot of espresso in my latte, I actually appreciate the nice flavor this bag of beans has.
It wasn’t too acidic but offers just enough depth of flavor to accompany the milk. It was a good balance. Even if I managed to finish my cup and the coffee a bit cold, the coffee still tasted great.
A couple of days later, my husband managed to clean the double espresso portafilter so we were back to our usual routine double espresso shots in our morning latte. And as expected, it had a stronger kick in flavor. But my fears of it being too acidic didn’t happen. I actually liked the taste and the acidity enhanced the flavor for me. It didn’t taste bitter at all. There were no burnt taste that sometimes lingers on especially if the beans were badly roasted. So I was definitely happy with this and thought it was a great bargain!
We just opened this bag and will enjoy it in the coming days and weeks. So far, it didn’t clog our newly cleaned portafilter and coffee machine yet unlike the others we bought from Amazon.
Overall, I really like this bag of beans. And when I checked recently, I noticed it was out of stock! I wouldn’t be surprised, to be honest. We only paid for £10 for a one-kilo bag of beans for this and so far, we find the taste comparable to those we buy at $7.50 for only 250g! So I believe this bag was really made with the highest regard for the coffee beans.

Very nice and informative article written coffee beans I have heard that its taste is very good one of my friends live in Italy since 20 years. Thanks for writing providing the readers good information.
Thanks for your feedback and your friend is lucky to have access to great-tasting coffee! Not only that, but coffee over there in Italy is sold cheaply, too. It's one of the things I definitely missed when traveling to Italy.
